-=Using Shake 4.0, Qmaster 2.1 and Furnace 2.0/Sapphire 1.06=-

Ahh the wonderful world of Qmaster... . We have finally got Qmaster rendering without too many problems, but when it comes to scripts that contain Furnance or Sapphire plugins Qmaster seems to crap itself... the plugins are on all render nodes and render locally without a problem, and all licenses are up-to-date. When trying to render through Qmaster, the following error is reported:

"Successful: <QmasterMessage messageType="error">error:t2_sapphire.shk, line34: couldn&apost link function S_EdgeRays S_EdgeRays1 = S_EdgeRays(Checker1, 0, 0, 1.06, 0.25, 1, 1, 1, Hermite(0,...[" - at least that's all the message that Qmaster will let me see..

Has anyone had any success using these plugins with Qmaster? If so, pleaaassseee help!

And just another quick question, when rendering dpx sequences (without any plugins in the script), Qmaster seems to render all the frames correctly, but still reports the following error:

"Successful: error: /Volumes/XRAID/NH2/T2/V047_2.shk-breakdownqt.shk: No such file or directory ; rm: /Volumes/XRAID/NH2/T2/V047_2.shk-cleanupqt.shk: No such file of directory"

- i understand that when rendering a quicktime movie, Qmaster generates these breakdown and cleanup scripts in order to convert the IFF files it creates to the .mov, but why is it reporting this error when rendering .dpx?

Ahh nothing like a "successful: error" :banghead:

Thanks to anyone who can help out with this problem!

Cheers,

Justin

do you have render licenses for the plugins installed on all the render boxes?

Are all of the nodes attached to the storage through a shared file system (such as Xsan via FC or NFS via TCP/IP)? I saw similar error messages when a client had all of the render nodes attached directly to the storage pool with no file system management which corrupted most of the volume :banghead:

Good luck!
