Hi all ' i've a simple question:
I know the way to create a skeleton and rig(envelope) for an organic mesh .
Which is the best solution to rig a rigid arm ( suppose you have a robot arm, i would be every single part of the arm rotate and move like the bone inside with no deformation....)
Hope this have a sense...

Simply don't set an envelope. Just parent the rigid parts to the bones.

To complicate your life you could also just re-asign each bones wieghtmap localy so that part is only asigned one weight. This can be helpful (but is not the only way) when you have parts that are "organic" mixed with those that are not.

Still comanche's way is the simplest- and probably has faster interaction speeds to boot!
