well,
this is my current status of this not ending work

the current problem is:
how to combine the teeth to the head

I donīt think it is clever to open the mouth
(by moving the vertexs)
and weld the vertexs from both objects

a methode could be
that i use bones or a plugin to animate the head
that i can open the mouth right
(and close it the same way i opened it)

but is this the best solution...

c&c, please

and here are the teeth

(i didnīt paid too much attention at the "back-teeth",
because you will never see them completely,
but perhaps i correct them...)

I don't know wich soft you use, but in Max you can do this :

1. Attach the Teeth to the Head

2. Create morph poses, and move the teeth in Elements selection, for each pose. It avoids you to move vertices. You can Hide the teeth in sub-object mode if you want to work only on the face.

I dont't know if it's the good solution, but it works with my characters :p ... But they're far, far from yours!!!

thank you fred806,

i am working with 3ds max 5,

Those teeth look awsome. Could you tell us a little about how you made them?

Great modeling. If you use maya, you can parent the teeth to a joint and use "set driven key" Create the morphtargets/blendshapes/polymorphs and then rotate the joints to position the teeth. Set the driven key so i.e. a shout will rotate the teethjoints much while a smile would rotate less

well,
thank you for comments

@E.Z. Schwartz
its done with polys ( i want to use as few as possible)
- i will post a wire image of the teeth next time...-

i tried morphing but
i must say i donīt now how it works the right way
is there a good tut on net for my problem...

or can somebody say me a good plugin for facial animation..

If you understand a little french, try here http://perso.wanadoo.fr/3dstation/pdf/le%20MORPHER.pdf

The max snapshots are in french AND english version of Max.

I think than Morph target are the best way to make lipsinc animation, and even facial animation. If you want lipsinc you should try the Ventriloquist plugin. It needs 15 morph poses (phonemes) to work.

Good luck.

ok here a wireframe of the teeth...

i tried morphing and the concept is great but
it takes a lot of time to change the face-expression...

well i think i stop animation and finish modelling the woman
completely...

PS: what methode you use for eye closing and opening??? :scream:

Personnaly I use a morph target with the eyes closed, and just this single morph since the original mesh has its eyes opened. But my characters are non-realistic :hmm: ... So maybe you need 2 steps in your morph for perfect animation... But for a single image, a morph target is perfect.

youre new render looks nice;)

only crit...the eyes are a bit to small, the distance between each eye should be = to one eye.

other than that it looks top:thumbsup:

Looks really nice. Would definitely like to see some texures on her.
Keep updating. :)

as for crits, I think the lips could be a little fuller than they are, but that may just be the angle and lighting

thank you for replies,

well TEXTURING :scream:
iīve got not that much expierience with creating textures...
especially human face textures
it takes a lot of time
and the results are not the best...
so i have to practise this "area" hard...

the eye-distance isnīt correct...
i will have corrected it in the next post...

looks like a great start. if you're still thinking of how to attatch the teeth to the head for animation i have a suggestion. you can leave the teeth seperate and link(top left button in max) them to the head bone. that way they will move along with the head but you can edit and animate them seperatly. don't know if thats the solution you are looking:shrug:

keep going though looks good:bounce:

well i tried to attach the teeth into the mouth and it
isnīt that hard...
(i weld every vertex...)

but the animation is the point..
and i must say that I am not ready for doing
at my first step of animation
doing some facial stuff...

i have to practice (among texturing)
the animation basics to do in far times... some facial animation...

well not a great visible update...

i attached the teeth today...

i really want to show you the inner-mouth

but ... well itīs not in my power...yet...

well next step i think
is to modell some cloth...

if somebody have got a tip... please!

I'm following your model with great interest.
I think you're making a good work. Maybe the theets need mode shadow, they looks too bright but if you want a sad look, maybe, you don't need the theets.

I think you have to adjust the over-eyes side to get it sad.

It looks really weird that you can see her teeth in that position. For most people when your mouth is closed, your lips are stuck shut. It's almost impossible to lift your top lip like hers. Good model so far!

It is such a beautiful model... because it has character. I already read a few character design WIPs and most of the time you read reactions which express some kind of "mainstream" expectations how super-models got to look like. But honestly, without wanting to insult a super-model among you - I find those standard beauties (no matter whether male or female) sooo boring. Keep that style. I even have no complaints about the expression she has with her slightly openend mouth showing her teeth. I think many people look like that in reality. But you definetly need to make her teeth more "used" - go for a slightly yellowish color, getting slightly darker to the corners and edges.
I will follow your WIP, too!
