I saw AI this weekend and I loved it!! Your model looks cool to, with a bit of texturing and some more details it could have been in de movie as well :D

Between the slack and that chain, the vulnerable front end, and the delicate balance of things I'm already in suspense!

As a fellow 3D artist I can't help but imagine a complex set of motions needed to put her in motion,.. looks possible even at this point in the design, with that rear assembly breaking against the tire surface for counter-balance? and the foley.. strained motors, click, clack - gyro..

Some former junction to the original parts may be cool, like a terminating/broken connecting arm above the center of gravity, with loose wires/tubes.

Hope you are free to go for it, I know sometimes paying jobs have to take precedence (for those that have to work) - but keep us posted whatever your sit.

I wish I had time! (actually doing web dev for money and first laundry of the year today) one could just animate stand-in objects to study the possibilities (hang on to those source files).

The complex relationship between all the drive parts it is a tempting puzzle! With the chain slack, latency and balance to consider I would prefer someone good with scripting skills step up! What pkg are you modeling with?

Sounds like you won't be keyframming with those frame rates, I can dig it - nice stills are bad ass too!

Back to laundry,

Hola Phoenix,

I checked out those graphics and I like! Wish I hade some web space for ya so those darn ad's don't pop up. The 2D GrFx remind me of broadcast grfx, like those used in TV lower thirds and such.

Any chance you will get your own domain? www.phoenixfiregraphics.com?

New post looking cool too!
