Hi all,

I had encountered a problems of animated with XSI biped-Rig,
When i assign my model with xsi>model>Biped-Rig & doing my
rigging and then when finished i enveloped my model with
Biped-Rig,everythings seeing OK! but when i try to called out
the Biped-Rig-GlobalSRT & select the two Biped-Rig.L&RArmEff
to doing my animation,it seem locking in the default position,
no matters how or even i selected the effector on manually from
the Local,Global & view mode, instead of from the GlobalSRT but
yet the Translation of the X,Y,Z is not allows to be activated.
Besides of the 2 Hands effector as i mentioned the rest parts
of the Biped-Rig is functional OK! it's a bit strange? or am i,m
miss out anythings? any suggestion,Pls?

If you translate either of the arm bones by mistake, by selecting the bone itself and moving it, they'll lock down in the way you described. I believe there's a way to unlock them (I think in the controls that come up when you hit Ctrl+R), but I'm not positive.

Hi Xzevlin,

Thanks for the assist,I have tried you methods but seem not working!
Really don,t know why? when everytimes i called out the Biped-Rig-globalSRT
synoptic by >F3 & selected my hands effector, pose my animation and press the
synoptic custom tool >key All frame, it would auto LOCK DOWN the 2 hands translate axis!
But how come the rest of the chest & Upper Body or even the 2 Leg control is OK!
to doing KEY ALL frame in any translate & Orientation axis ?
Was there somethings wrong with the Biped synoptic?
Any ideas?

Make sure you don't have ANY key frames on the bones in the chain if you are using IK. Also, make sure you don'y have any keyframes on the effectors for the bones if you are using FK. I'm sure there are exceptions to this rule when using IK/FK blending, but I haven't done any of this yet, so I'm not sure what they would be.
