Okay everyone, here is where you post your final submissions for judging.

Be sure to include, IN 1 POST, the following:

1) Concept drawings
2) relevant source material, if any
3) A wireframe image of the finished character from various angles
4) Orthogonal views of the finished character with textures applied. These views should be front, back, top, bottom, side, and perspective. These images should use default lighting on a one-color background. The OpenGL views from within your modeling program should do fine.
5) One beauty render. This may include fancy lighting (including radiosity), a background or environment of some sort, and posing the character in a way that shows off its personality.
6) The individual texture sheets used, layed out seperately. If alpha channels are used, lay them out seperately as well.
7) A short written description of the character's background, personality, and powers.

Please make all images no larger than 800x600.

This thread should only be used for submitting entries to the competition. I would like to ask that those not involved in the competition please do not post anything here. Instead, if you have comments, post in the threads of the individual contest applicants. Here is where the judges will view all final submissions to base their voting on. Thank you and good luck to all!

Guan-Di derives from the famous historical person "Guan-Yu" in the Three Kingdoms period of China. He was a man of virtues, had courage, integrity, loyality etc. and was a great fighter. So people made God of War out of him to honor him.

His trademarks are: red face, long, straight black beard, his armor (but not as seen in my design though) and his legendary halberd. Oh and he had this famous "red rabbit horse", too, but due to the polycount limitation, I've made it his armor :)

Haven't found a better English reference. Look for "Guan-Di"

EDIT: Compiled the images together. And I forgot: It has 2323 triangles.

This boss is based on the old greek myths of the half man half bull monster. I decided he should be wearing a toga and have a big battle axe.

Odin, the Norse God of war, poetry, wisdom, and death. Odin sacrificed his left eye for wisdom, and hung on the world tree for nine days in order to acquire knowlage. His two ravens, Hugin[thought] and Munin[memory] he sent out everyday to gather knowlage for him and at night they would return to him and whisper what they had gathered to him. He also has a spear named Grungir which never misses its mark.

This submission is made on behalf of modeling_man, who had to abruptly leave town just after posting his submission to the wrong folder by mistake.

Any comments/questions should be directed to him as he is the artist.

Ok. So even though I just heard of the competition yesterday. I figured I better at least try. After a bunch of reading and research. I almost chose Harpies, then I was gonna do The Keres (big bird/bat demons that take the near dead souls to Hades, then opted to just go for the big Kahuna. Medusa. I have a feeling here snake heads are gonna be a pain. Here's my front and side views I'm gonna use.

Sorry. I was driving to Bellingham (1.5 hour drive) so I didn't get a chance to take all the views. Its not quite 12:00am yet! So here's the views and a better wireframe.
A big thanks to my friend that posted these in the submission section for me while I was driving.

Hope this helps.
