Hi all,

I would like to compress my animations with quicktime.
I see a very good compression and quality on the animations of Harmonic01(for exemple), u can see it here (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=297970)

For 13s he has a file to 706k
For 13s I have a file to 3Mo with the same codec and resolution.

I'm actualy in Adobe Premiere with my animations, i need help plz.
Thx.

PS: Sorry for my bad english.

I've got a reply, if it will help anybody:

Hey. I use QuickTime Pro to compress in to h264. I found QT pro compresses MUCH better than any other software (AE, Premier, etc.) Also my animations are at 24fps, instead of 30fps so that might make a difference. Also they are 640x480 since that's what AM was asking for. Either way, using QT pro would improve compression allot. I usualy save out of AE as quicktime PNG and then use QTPro to compress in to h264

What he says is, compress in Quicktime Pro, not other software like Premiere or After Effects.

And he's right in that.

Yep, he's right!

The H.264 in combination with AAC is possible to do in Premiere or Aftereffects, but CBR only. For VBR (Variable Bit Rate) you'll need Quicktime Pro. Maybe cleaner or sorrenson Squeeze could do the job in VBR, but I never work with those packages.
