This is my first challenge I take part.
My idea is about a marble on a huge marble alley. He is very afraid when he is pushed away by the bumper, so he tries to grab hold on the border of the alley. But the journey has begun...
Niiiiiice, very original and huge potential for a sexy render! I will be watching with anticipation!

Did some test on the marble. But I'm not satisfied with the face. I consider to do a robotic marble instead of a classical glas marble.
Nice concept. It's very original. :) Perhaps the face extrude from the marble more or just be a bit brighter.

I started modeling some pieces of the rail to get some idea how to do it.

I desided to change back to my layout and create a catoon character. I think I can show emotions much better than with a robot character.

I'm trying different ideas. But the left one is too comlicated and the right one is to brutal...

The sense of humour of yours is very good :) It'll be an interesting entry in the end, it's sure.
I think the one you called complicated is very good, because it really shows the beginning of a journey. The second one (brutal) is not conveying that idea of journey. the focus stays on the fight between red and green balls. The first one is cool too. But I don't see the bal gliding back. An effect or face expression will be needed for it.
Anyway, I liked them all, it's more a question of what you want to focus on.
As for the composition, The ball is very close to left bottom corner, and is not looking to the center, but to the corner. If you had moved your character somewhere else in the frame, or resized the frame, you would get better results. vertically large frames will enhance the action.
I, as a viewer, look at the main character (the ball) and then where it looks. the viewer, and it immediately goes out of the frame. all the fine work in the background is being wasted (they're all too far away), because you lead the viewer away from them. and immediately out of picture.

Hey sfrey!
First of all: I really like your concept and I'm really looking forward to seeing your final result!
But i also got some - as I hope constructive - cristism:
Of the latest 3 pics, I like most the one you called too complicated, because it shows the begin of the journey better than the others.
But what do you think about a huge human finger that forces the marble into the track? I think you could show the beginning of the journey very well and also build a small marble compared to the huge finger and the enormous track, which also impresses the marble's feelings.
So far the ideas of someone who doesn't know much about 3D except some footballs made of chrome ;)
Keep on your concepts, they are genious!
