View Full Version : Is there a way to get the measure tool to print lines?

Or at least remain on the screen long enough to draw a line? Currently the method I use to measure is to draw a vertical or horizontal line of the length I want, then try and rotate it to the correct angle, but I find this method very cumbersome, especially since I am using Photoshop CS1 and without smart objects, sometimes the lines end up looking a little ragged after being manipulated.

Thank you in advance.

The is no way to do this with the measure tool itself.

For a workaround:
Turn on your snapping and add a vertical and horizontal guide to your start and end points of your measure tool.

You can then use your line tool to draw between those points.

Ah, clever. Thank you. That's a much better method.
