Hi, fist post here in CGTalk.
This is my first Comic style painting. I am trying some techniques and colours. It was hand drawn by a friend and painted by me. The idea is to try and make an entire comic book, we know we still have a lot to learn, but we've got to start somewhere.

There are things that didnŽt work on this painting, i tried to use the light coming from the upper left to light the charaters and we tried to use a white contour around the oldman and others wich didn't work also.

Anyway critics are welcome, i want to improve on this.

Looks cool. The biggest crit worth mentioning is the harsh shadows on the guy in the middle. None of the othe chars have shadows that dark. It makes him stick out a bit (was that your intention?) and just looks inconsistant with the rest of the pic. Other than that, it's awesome.

Well, for those outside of Portugal S.L.B is Benfica, a soccer team. I'm not a great fan of soccer, like i said, i just painted it :)

Anyway, the contrast of the shadows was not intentional, but thanks for pointing that, the idea was to get just an overall cartoonish look, thats all. IŽll try to improve next time.

maybe its me, but when i look at this art it seems too crouded.. looks like you made tipical city chars and put them all together in a tiny space. other than that, its great :applause:
