Hi i really like the brazil renderings that are used in cgtalk so frequently nowadays, but at first glance at the renderer itself it seems like there needs a lot of tweaking to get the desired matte look am after.

My question is this, can u give us a couple of print screens of your renderer box so i can see what settings you all use, would be much appreciated.

assuming you are using the public test version, all you really need to do is turn on the skylight in the luma rollout and apply a grey/white material, with teh specular str and glossiness set to 0, to your model. in order to get proper shadows, you may want to turn on the csg ground plane (bottom rollout) to give your model something to be based on. you can also use a few spots with out shadows, and with thier color set to maybe brown or blue, to give your model some directional color as well :) don't forget that teh skylight's default color is a sky-blue, so set it to white is u want a neutral light
