A fresh eye would be greatly appreciated. I just cannot tell what is not working with this low poly model and I am a bit tired of looking at it. He looks foolish.

Looking at the profile it looks like a she. Big butt, thin waist, perky chest.. the edges around her.. his lips.. need to loop more.. and cleaning up the mesh and ridding yourself of extra edges that would possibly be harmful to the model deforming well will help alot..

arms are too short, and there's some weird geometry at the top of the thighs which will screw up the deformation quite a bit.

Some general anatomy tips for men...

A man's pelvis is straight up, so his lower back tends to be straight, as opposed to a woman, who's pelvis tilts forward and thus gives a curved lower spine (which is what you have going on right now). That'll go a long way to fixing things on your model.

A man's fingertips fall mid thigh, and elbows fall at roughly waist level (your's look short).

Shoulers are broader than the waist (yours are a bit smaller). The more powerful you want your guy to look, the thicker his waist should be.

That should get you on the right track.

Much, much better.

He still needs to be thicker through the chest in profile, from pec to shoulder blade. His upper back should stick out farther than his butt. Also, you can think of the abs as one sheet of muscle, connecting the top of the pelvis to the bottom of the rib cage. So unless he's sucking in his gut, it should be flatter (think washboard). I would make the chest a bit thicker, and move the whole rib cage backwards.
