Hey peoples im having an idea. been thinking why it is my kids are obsessed with crawling through bushes and why it is they never come when called.
so maybe one day they will go in and never come out. hmmm wont have to buy nappies no more.

No, harsh would be admitting i have a favourite.i just wonder why it is that they , espescially Murdoch is obsessed with crawling through bushes. I fear for their safety when it comes to snakes, spiders and even centipedes are deadly. so i guess in my concept i want to express what i fear for them, and what they perhaps see when they venture in their.

On a sidenote: I don't know about any venomous snake in australia (that's where you live, don't you?), so your kids are safe from snakes. I don't kow about anything else

Hmm.. don´t they have the black mamba there? hehe I like the idea, could be cute! There´s a good opportunity for different contrasting lighting schemes, which I personally like a lot. Good luck with the contest!

here is a less messy concept for my mid ground of the scene with addition of an elf type town house . im hoping to give a feel with the lighting and objects that there is a nice side and a bad side to the adventures in the trees.
with the fore ground i want to show that the boys could go to far and most probebbly in the bad direction.

This should represent my final scene. i have tried to show the feel i have for the lighting and introduced a foreground. the log raft represents the no turning back point as the current is pulling against its teather the boys would be swept away.

Definetly this skecth is much better, very promising, I am also using diferent qualities of light to give some mood to the scene, it is going to be interesting to see how are you going to hable this issue. Are you going to have some sketches for the characters? or would you just go for the 3D..

Starting off with the trees. when it comes to modelling the boys ill be working from photos i think.
