hi folks,
we have conducted test regarding which compositing software is faster.
And on a given machine the test showed some result which I doubt about its correctness.
check out...
Attributes :-
resolution : 1920 * 1080
Layers : 3 layers of tga sequence
Softwares : Shake, Digital Fusion, Cumbustion
Xeon 3.4GHz
3Gb Ram
Windows XP professional 32bit
Red Hat Linux
Process :-
3 layers of tga sequnce were loaded and only composited on all 3 softwares. And rendered the same without adding any filters.
rendered as uncompressed tga.
Time taken by each software
Shake 3.5 : 05 mins
Cumbustion 4 : 11 Mins
Digital fusion 5 : 25 Mins
25 mins for DF ??????
Its unacceptable and unbelievable that Fusion is sooooo slow!?
Any suggestions, comments can it be true?? or I missed something terriblly important?
Note: The shake test was on linux platform and rest both on Windows Xp professional
