I keep hearing about meshtools... what is it?
I've always modeled editable meshes in MAX.
I was taking a Maya course, and it had this neat plug-in that enabled you to select one edge, and with a click you'd have a ring of continuous edges selected, which I think saves a bunch of time when you edit arms, legs, and the likes.
Is that what meshtools does?
Or is there another MAX plugin that does that?

Meshtools allow edgeloops and edgerings too, but their best feature IMHO is the possibility to connect edges, points and faces.

You can get the last Max 4 version of meshtools here:

http://www.scriptspot.com/

along with a mass of other ones.

A temporary version 3 of meshtools for Max 5 is on the second CD that came with your 3ds max 5 package.
