Hi folks

I was not happy about the first two sketches, here is a new one.
Just throwing ideas out there. Still not sure which one will stick.
Any comments welcome.

Hi cesar! I like the second sketch beacuse it has contrast between nature and modern life. I think you should work on it. Good luck!

Hey Cesar,

just looking through the entries for this competition, building up steam for my own entry. Looking at your sketches, I like the one in the pipe best. I think the one with the tree trunk is dominated by the trunk and not really too visually interesting. But it does show the characters position in relation to his quest. The one on the branch offers a better vista of the quest and goal but doesn't really push any boundaries. I find the pipe option the better as it offers a glimpse of the characters personality as well as a view of the challenges ahead of him.

I like the one with the pipe too.You have these suare bugs seeing the lushes greentrees and grass on the other side of the sweuer pipe.

After some thoughts and all the feed back...)thank you guys!)I have decided to go with the the "tunnel" water drain pipe scene.
Here is a quick render of possible placement for the characters and a scene set up with basic lighting.

Still plowing away at all sides.
When I get tired of one of the items, just move to another one, then I come back to the original one and see how it looks.

I helps me visualize it as a whole.

Here is the bee character for the scene. I still need the details and it is still very low poly with a smooth.

More on the background.
Stil working on the perspective and the basic colors. Adding the foliage and getting the over all feel and atmosphere.
Still working on the characters, hopefully this weekend I can get really going, before school starts. :)

Looking good so far, nice composition. Good to have grass near to the lens to blur out. As for the pipe, I liked your original sketch as it showed the entire pipe leading away from the camera and you could see the exit as a round light (almost). I think you need to move the pipe up so that you can see this in the scene as it will be a better picture in the end. Also, you get to add watery scum in the base of the pipe which can have a little reflection which is always good for any pic.

Mathew: I was debating the full circle or a segment. Thanks for the info, I think you are right. I am also playing around with maying the pipe soother. Yeah I will add some junk to it.

Sitll working on one of the characters, Working on 3 of them at a time and modifying the scene.
