Okay, first off.

Newtek needs to get behind this plugin.
Its not as user friendly as it could be (partly because its a master plugin and based off Maya's Render layer which isn't all that user friendly).

This could become the foundation of a robust render manager.
It allows you to group and set your render parameters for your objects, lights and cameras.
if this was hooked to the Render Panel, render buffer/Saver, an occulsion pass plugin and matte control it would be smoking.

Some people may ask what about the spreadsheet.

This is better and faster and could be used to just focus on nothing but rendering passes.

please Newtek/LW -- check this out.

Surpasses is quite affordable and does a great job IMHO. http://sps.polas.net/sps/ (http://sps.polas.net/sps/)

This looks promising but looks to still be a WIP. Will keep an eye on this one for sure.

While LW does need a MultiPass solution Ala XSI....

I think Surpasses looks like a much more advanced and better offering....
So NT should be looking at the downsides of Surpasses, and make a better version for LW9.5. :)

Dodgy's scripts are nice, and helpful...... But really we need an even better surpasses.
