Title: Supergirl
Name: Sean Ellery
Country: Australia
Software: Photoshop

Nicola Scott (pro penciller) asked me to colour this one for her so she can peddle it around various comic conventions. I just hope she now remembers to mention my name.. :+P

I had a bugger of a time getting the B&W set up for this one. Nicola sent it to me in two parts and th two parts didn't match up properly! After fiddling for about an hour I got them looking ok-ish.

I also don't normally use photographic backgrounds (I think this is the first time for me) but this one looked ok...

Comments welcome as always

The mis-match is knowledge of the artist only I think. I dont see any obvious shifts so you covered it up well :).

Great coloring as usual. The cloulds are soft enough to walk the line between illustration and photograph. You know theyre real but no distractingly so. Good use of negative space as well. :)

One of my favourite CGTalk artists doing a picture of my #1 super heroine. You've got my 5 stars.

Just one thing that bugs me a little: Obviously all the super heroes have evolved over the years but I still prefer the 1984 style Supergirl in that she's not as muscular and her clothing's colour arrangement bears a closer resemblence to that of the original Superman. Appart from that, I love the picture. ...Saved to my favourites as usual.

Looks real tight :)

You captured that western comic feel for sure...Excellent work!
