Hello to all!
This is my first Concept, and waits that he is the only one.
My ideia is in the journey of the child cleaning its room.
I still did not work about the composition of the colors and the composition of the picture, is only my first ideia.
Good luck to all!
I wait to very learn in this contest as I learned in the previous one!

Simple, direct and obvious (and I believe that no one think about this). This is what make your idea interesting and original. You can explore the expression of children, looking for all sides without know from where start this long journey. Congratulations!

Very nice sketch and an original idea! The epic element is missing though, and because the scene is mostly contained within the room, the journey idea becomes a bit static.

A question: do you will go to use a wide frame composition?
Now... Safe more days for light and render, tips or tricks call for me...

Hello!
This is the composition of my image!
When that image show, I use 2 composition rules in this scene.
1) the rule of third - 3 diferent imagens that become only one.
Image 1 - The acting, the Boy in your jorney
Image 2 - The jorney, The bedroom out of your order.
Image 3 - The prize, The end of jorney has a prize!
2) the golden rule - the most important thing in the image (in the first third of the image).

Raul, this is proceeding nicely. Very nice breakdown of your composition.
Hey, my previous comment was not to scare you! In any case, your idea is unique.
As to your question: I used to draw on paper and then scan, but lately I do all of my drawings on a tablet, using ZBrush. I have even replaced my sketch books with a laptop.
Good work. I have to admit that your panoramic perspective is epic!
yohann
03-07-2006, 08:26 PM
Hi Taba!
I think your image can be more, and much more epic thence this. I think you can change the period of scene... Like a young prince what need put in order your things in a big room of parent's Palace (a room like with big babe room in "Miyazaki's Spirited Away").
Or much better, with more historical content: a young prince ordering your slave, a child too, but with low height. And behind of all the Queen with crossed arms and wait.:wavey:

03-08-2006, 03:06 PM
Outstanding, I love the bent design it reminds me of invader zim and john and the homicidal maniac, and the lithe details like the note on the side of the dresser that sticks out, nice touch. It looks like it could work being toon-shaded or semi-realistic materials either way I think it would work out great.
raultabajara
03-08-2006, 04:07 PM
I love the game "maniac mansion: the day of the tentacle". The Bent style is to remind this game, and other movies that have this design.
About the Prize, Yes, I think "every journey has a prize", and then I put childrens play in the out of the house to say "if you clean you bedroom you can go out to play"
thanks for the comments!
I want to post the making in ever posts!

Ok, I have no much time to finish the scene. So, i leave the forniture and the toys and go to create the main charcaters.
I start with the boy. I think that I will use the body of the RPG toys, so I spend more time in the head of this character.
