This is finally the idea that am going to paint. I am trying to draw something that will look a part of a story, rather than drawing people starting a journey. Here I draw Kazan (much older) and his friend (unnamed yet), trying to pull the machine gun up on to the roof of the tank(or machine), for more protection after it trapped in the sand storm. Suddenly they found themselves surrounded by these little creatures (the snail furies)... so this is the idea so far. Am working on more sketches from different angels. Comments more welcome.

Wow you got some really cool work in here!

The first thing I saw was your latest update, I thought the girl on the left was thinking something like: "oooh shut up! you go on and on, quit the yapping already!" haha.
But when I checked your whole thread I realised she is looking up at some giant creatures.
I really don't know wich concept I like best, infact I like em all, you got some really weird but awesome looking creatures and your characters are pretty spot on, those girls are hot!:D

Hi Ibrahem,

I think, this is one of the most interesting designs around this contest in the moment. I'm not sure about those humans, even if they look really awesome. Maybe it's just me, but these creatures simply blow me away and i would take humans out. Well, you should maybe not take them out. But they can't compare to those awsome... whatevers.

Can't wait to see more.

I can see a professional working on this one, right?

Thanx for all of you... Am really happy to read these comments after along time of silence.

I had a real hard time trying to fix the perspective in this piece, the perspective was really messed-up the tow girls and the pink creatures were not working together. Again am really glad that you all liked the idea coz I wasn’t sure if its strong enough for this contest.



Chupacabra the idea was to draw two journeys, one for the two girls down there and the other one for the creatures, just as if each one has his own story but it happened that they met in the way. Respect for you too. And good luck

Anyhow, your fluid confident character sketches...the unique colors in your recently posted WIP image...these wild animal creatures towering over the characters in the field...all very well composed, expressive. I stopped for a few days to study for some exams... and the internet didn’t work for some reason? I've been checking up on your thread hoping that you continue your painting :) I really like the little touches youve put in(the green qlowy color on the legs) and I can't wait to get a better look at the creatures emerging from the fog on the right, they give a nice sense on danger and mystery to the composition!

Wow, you must be really unhappy with your last piece to start e new one from scratch with only a handful of days left in the challenge. Not a heck of a lot of time to get a good amount of feedback from people, but best of luck to you. For what it's worth, I liked your last iamge, the one you've been working on. It still needed some refinement, but it was good, and not worth trashing at this late stage, imho. Good luck, either way!

I think this will fix the problem.. I add fog on the ground coz the grass was not working well with the perspective.. And more monsters in the background for more depth //

OK, I don't know what the heck those things are but they're genuis! I'd love to know how they get on top of those things. Anyway, thought I might point out something that caught my attention: the face of the creature nearest us seems to small, the creature's face behind it on the left side is the same size and it's farther away.

“The smile of death”, a name given by the local people to the creatures that feed on the human souls. Creatures from other dimension appear when disasters and wars start, a place where they can find souls to feed on. They don’t travel alone, other creatures live on top of them, never been seen from close distant, usually because they land on the dead cities after wars. They steal what left over.

Looking for someone to help them fix their plane, the two girls found them selves surrounded with these creatures heading to “Suntheteca”, the prophets’ city, where a big war is taking place.
