View Full Version : wrap deformed patch modeling

When I add a wrap deformer to my nurbs patch model the cv's do move with the wrap but no matter what I do with the max distance value I tweak the wrap by lets say 'curling the fingers' and I end up with geometry spiking. Please help me I've been at this problem for a long time.

this setting on one takes away the spikes thank God but then the the nurbs patches don't get influenced by the wrap enough and are messed.

I now know why no one answered. Try grouping the patches where you'll add a wrap deformer, then setting the weight threshold to a value of 1. Oh, and leave the influence for the wrap at 2 or the nurbs will crinkle. Geez all this just to avoid poly's and subd's!
