This is my first concept for the challenge. Simply a couple of cowboys atop a cliff. Please crits and ideas! Thanks!

Another concept, super quick this time. Ship preparing to depart from port.

Continuation of the oringinal concept. I plan on putting a convoy in the ravine. The cowboys atop the cliffs are preparing for a morning raid. Please crit away!

Starting to add a bit more to it. Another horse, beginnings of a convoy or camp in the ravine. All crits encouraged!

Thank you much for the kind words!

And to Cyberone, actually I was goin' for an ambush! So the fact that you got that from looking at it pleases me. I was thinking these cowboys, or bandits as it were, are gettin' ready for there first raid of the day after a nights sleep, and preparing to spring upon the convoy below.

I'm not 100% sure how I'm going to go about the coloring, but I'll be sure to put up some run throughs to get feedback!

Thanks again!

You have great way of skething. It really looks like preparation for ambush, although I'm not sure does it really fit the journey theme.

I wish you luck ;)

I agree with the previous comment of it not seeming like preperation for a great journey, but more like an everyday mundane task. But the characters and colors are very expressive. Goof Luck Brain bro!

I agree with not seeing the direct connection to the idea of a journey. I was/am struggling with that concept a bit in my own entry.

As far as the actual piece is concerned the characters line work is great, I would work on the composition a bit more, the action seems to fall off the lower right of the piece.
