View Full Version : First Cartoon Character - Need assistance starting this torso.
mundi_2005 03-02-2006, 05:25 PM Hail friends,
I've managed to create this head, but I don't have a clue as to where start working on the torso, chest, shoulders and so on. If anyone can give some aid, I would apreciate it.

Also would like some comments on this for a first head.
Thanks and peace.

Hey dude. Good job for a first job. I know some good tutorials, but they cover the female's body. I don't know anyone about males. But anyway, I think they will be useful for you.
This is one of the best tutorials I've already seen. Cover the entire body, clothes, hair and accessories:

I havent tried this one, but it looks good too:

And here you can find more interesting tutorials:

I hope this could be helpful for you. Boa sorte, e progresso pra você, meu camarada!

Hello Tasty,
I'm glad you liked it. My 3d professor said it has many major loop problems, so I will wait a bit until I show it with the loops.
I know you can't see much, but for now, I gave the light some style, just to make a mystery about it ;)
I'm still working on it, and I posted this render because I really liked it.
I will post the complete model with default light this week, if I can finish it.
Thanks for the compliment (if that's spelled correctly)

I like it, especially the face... but I do think that the body doesn't suit the head... You got a bruce-timm-style head going on and a too realistic and too detailed torso!
