View Full Version : Text layer error messages
EricChadwick 03-02-2006, 05:55 PM I keep getting this error message, everytime I re-open a saved PSD and try to edit some text that's in it.
Adobe Photoshop
! Editing or rendering the text layer "Blah" will cause its layout to change.
Continue?
[OK] [Cancel]
If I click OK, then save the PSD, close it, re-open it, and try editing again, I get the same message.
Anyone know why this is happening?

Do you still have the font you used installed?

Yes. But I think there's a character in there that might use a missing font.
Changing the whole block to another font then back seems to fix it.
It could be that the font is corrupted in some way, try deinstal and reinstalling it, could save you some annoying error messages in the future.

I think you nailed the problem on the head.
I've had this happen where I have had a space character in a different font which I didn't have installed. Obviously being a space character, you can't visually tell if it is different.
