Yeah. I am a newbie. Can someone explain it and send me a scene where u use it? Just some simpel stuff.

global illumination is a kind of radiosity, it's a method of light bilance, where you get the secondery bounce light

ostov, if you are using max 5, you should have a few scenes on your computer with global illumination already set up. i believe most other renderers like final render also come with GI scenes set up too.
