View Full Version : Free Form Deformers
knight42 12-14-2002, 01:26 PM Am I right in thinking that FFD's can only be scaled in all three axes, i.e. they are always square?
It would be nice if you could squash them to the dimensions of the object they affect. They would also clutter the editor up a bit less, although I usually hide them anyway.

Hey,
Have you ever used the plug-in FFD-fit? It's awesome.... automatically fits your FFD to your poly object... you can even set a buffer distance. I can't remember who made it but Plugin Cafe should still have it. If they don't let me know and I can email it to you. It works with R8 as well.

Maxon should've replaced the standard FF deformer with FFF.

Thanks for that. I'll look for FFD-Fit when Plugin Cafe is working again :hmm:

Yeah, that would be good, Planet C4D is down too. Email it to jamie@knight42.fsnet.co.uk.
Cheers! :wavey:

Great thanks!
And yes, that's exactly how the built-in FFD should work...
