I am trying to bake out a lit shadowed map for reference in painting textures. I've followed the instructions from this tutorial (http://www.webdesign.org/web/3d-graphics/tutorials/high-polygon-realistic-character-creation-uv-mapping.5521.html) on how to do it (its at the bottom of the page), but it doesn't work for me.
I have my settings as shown, both the poly object and the blinn shader are selected, but when i click 'convert,' nothing happens. I don't get any error message, so i figure, either i am doing something wrong, or there's another step that I'm missing, but i have no idea what it is, and none of the references i've looked up help. I've checked other tutorials and info sites, and Maya Help, to no avail.
I would greatly appreciate any help anybody could give me, because I'm stuck and stumped, and been trying for days.
