View Full Version : paintfx shadow and field rendering

Hi,
I am rendering paint effects for pal system.I used 3d cast fake shadow and pu plane with surface shader material under it.I render single frame and its ok.I see shadow in alpha channel.
1.when i batch render sequence there is not shadow in alpha channel.How can i make it?
2.i render both fields interlaced and even field first.I choosed cicrpal/quantel pal.Because its 720 576 with 1.06 pixel aspect ratio.I open sequence in after effects but its shaking less up and down.Do i do anything wrong or how can i fix it?

this vertically stretching happens only if i use paintfx.I put a sphere in to scene and sphere a little stretched its ok.Because pixel aspðect ratio is 1.06 but
paintfx is stretched 2 times scaled vertically.
I am using daisy btw.
Anyone have an idea pls?

but it should not have been normal because i rendered even fields only
how can i render paintfx with fields?

Paintfx don't work with fields(read the release notes).

One way around this would be to render double the frame rate at a step of .5 then you can pull fields from that.

With ntsc I just work at 24fps and then do a 2/3 pullup. Not sure how that is done with pal.
