Been working on this guy on and off this week. The design is from the concept artist at my work Eric Ehoff. Going to be a full character. The head is all modeled inside so morph targets can be created for what little skin is left for facial animation :P

Just started texturing so I thought I would start a thread with progress. C&C always wanted and needed. Thanks

The blood looks wet... therefore fresh... he looks like a zombie...

A lich king should be ancient and terrible in his power, so whatever flesh he might have would be dried up, like a mummy, instead of being dug up fresh out of the graveyard?

I guess blood trails would be okay if they looked old, dusty and long since dried up...

Cool WIP man......If it was my zombie, i would add some sag under his right eye due to the flesh missing from that side more than the other. Then it would give you the chance to freak out that eyeball and show some muscle/anatomy/blood there as well. From your good work on the mouth area, it shouldnt take you long....but thats if it was my pet zombie. Cool work keep it up!:)

very cool! I have to mention that the nose looks very sharp and clean even for someone who isn't roting. Try adding a crook in the nose or a slight curve on the ridge.

Thanks for the replies. In the end this is going to be a full character covered in armor and cloaks. His helmet covers almost everything but his eyes and his teeth. I am not happy with the current but, what little I have done on it so far so I think I am going to start over on it.

Commiekeebler - I completely agree. I Think maybe naming him a liche was probably wrong. I don't really want to go for the dead decayed over hundreds of years zombie look. More of the dead and still bleeding skin still fresh look :P

Abominable - I think I am going to add blood to the one eye from the blood running into it as far as freaking it out. Don't htink I am going to do anymore modeling on the head.

psilipsycho - I am going to break the nose up some more with texture and bump work

HellRender - I was thinking the same thing. More blood on the bones and teeth. On my list.

Thanks for all the C&C...keep em coming
