The concept is drawn from the idea that the 22 cards of the Major Arcana represents the Journey of The Fool. Here the theme is combined with the other 21 Major Arcana.

Concept sketch of the backdrop which the 22 players are represented. The world is coming to an end (Death) and the remaining living move into a portal in the ground to another world.

you might want to revise your colors a bit, you suffer from "rainbow pallette" at the moment. Start with just 2 tones, it doesn't get so colourful that way

I agree. thank you for that constructive crit - I didn't notice the rainbow until viewing the thumbnail later on and thought "gee, that's a bit colourful!"
. I'm currently working on Reds, Ochre Greens and dark Browns and Purples
... *that end* of the specturm

Sticking to warmer colours of the palette at the moment to get the background details ... down.

Once they have been placed down I'll start fleshing out the characters on top :)

I really like the top right area and the far left 'circle' but somewhere in the middle it breaks down- I think you need to consider the transition between the foreground and the distance.

Aside from that, you're doing well! Keep it up! :thumbsup;
