Good depth of field effects. I like the sketch too, maybe you can show some difficulties by the way, like a hottest desert between the wolf and nature. Keep this good work.
Cheers.

The last image would look really cool with some heavy displacement.
I personally would like the horse to be very close to the camera with a short lens to give it a bigger sense of depth. Try 15-20mm. Your idea has alot of potential :)

I like the camera blocking and the composition of the elements. Try putting the horse near the camera and see how it looks like. Nic work man, keep it up.
cheers!!!

Hey blueferret! I agree with Sathe and Megabytes2004 about placing the horse close to the camera. I think it would also be cool to show some sort of trail your character must take through the landscape. good luck!

Your new scene is looking great!
I think placing the horse up close is a good idea to, giving the scene even more depth.

mental ray and displacement - adjustment
hi blueferret, I think you should put the horse in right/left [personally I think right is better] side of the scene, it's kinda cut your background in two [and compozition aswell], and I also sugest to put him whole in the scene, this kind of use of compozition elements fit's better on close-up shots, here it is not the case, it's a large shot.
hope to be helpful.
ps: i still recomend you that mountains far behind ;).

I like this point of view, and the creature going from right to left. Only a question: what is the smoke ahead? Water vapour, clouds? For me, it's looking like a very very hot place.
Keep the good work man!
