View Full Version : Removing Clothes (lightwave 7)
50caliber 03-01-2006, 07:16 AM I recently downloaded a mesh of a women that looks great except that her leather jacket is on backwards and deeply intertwined with her body. Everything is all on one layer and I want to separate her clothing onto a new layer. So, how do I select just the jacket polys using lightwave 7.0? By the way, I have already tried selecting it using the statistic window method but it seems neither the jacket nor the body can be selected individually. Im not sure how to use the volume selection tool or if it would be of any use.

you could try the right parenthesis key "}" or "]"
click on a polygon and hit "}", this should select whatever polygons it's connected too.
However, if any of the points of the 2 objects were welded, this won't work.
Wondering, is this the volume select tool you are talking about? don't know the terminology.
let me know how things turn out.
