How about a "first day of school" drama?
You know the drill.

parents can hardly contain the tears.
the little one (4 years old? maybe 3?) is holding on for dear life to his fexil the cat lunchbox he inherited from dad. His pacifier is concealed in his back-pocket... just in case.

the journey is the seemingly enormously long driveway to the schoolbus.
The bus-driver is a scary hulk of a woman.
...plus it is painfully obvious by looking at the other children on the bus that this is going to be a VERY long day.

This is to be also a retro, non-realistic, stylized humans-piece... set up in the mid-50s. Black and white maybe?

Then again... some sort of short- biped antropomorphic creatures would be kind'a fun.
