I made this Wood Floor Texture
Do you think it is to dark

It's not too dark, it's too repetitious. You need more chaos in the pattern, and knots and swirls in the wood that arent so evenly spaced.
I think it's cool. :bounce:

Are you making these with procedurals or what?
On another note: Do you have the fellas name that has that script about saving the last five presets or whatever.
Speaking of presets.
you gonna share your settings? :D

I actually did it in photoshop as a floor texture
I do not recall a script for saving presets, I do not know even how presets got into this thread
If you are referring to undos in layout then there is someone who made a script but was only giving it out on request
I saw the thread on the newtek forum
Oh. I thought it was a procedural you did in LW. :hmm:

I don't think that they are to dark, I think they are just about right. The only comment I would make on them is that the knots just do not work for me. I believe you said you made these in PS, if so create a new layer and add some detail to where those knots are then they would be suberb. I guess, without playing with it first, I would try creating concentric circles then warp them ever so slightly so they were not so symetrical and then transform them to match the shape of the actual knot. Just my 2 cents worth on something I think is worth alot more then 2 cents. Great job.

By the way are you willing to share the secrets on how you created these gorgeous textures? Theres a great PS workshop email newsletter I get monthly that includes kick ass work like this. I don't have the site name here but I could post it Monday after I get back to work if you are interested, I know they would be.
