I think the dress on the girl looks fine, except at the bottom where it appears to turn inward. It may also be a bit flat across the front, but if you're running any cloth sim on it then that should take care of the problem when animated.
Great characters, though!
For the life of me I couldn't figure out what looked wrong with the dress...thanks alot for pointing that out...should a been a no brainer but we all dumb out sometimes......

I love the look they have.
If her pelvis was at the same height as his, I think she'd look better. I think right now her hips look too high because the dress flares out about halfway down her chest instead of just above where her legs/pelvis would start.

its about time you started on the girl:p , its a good start Remi, but i'm wondering whether she looks abit masculine, don't know she just looks....well....not that feminine. love the hair and they go well together, get an update in. :bounce: good work as usual.

Hi remi.
Yes i agree with the fact that the dress looks too clean, this could fix it self though if you´re going to use a cloth plug. I think what really makes the two characters not fit perfectly with eachother is that the guy has a lot more accesories like a bowtie cufflinks and stuff.
Try adding some jewlery to the woman like a perl neclace with matchin earings and perhapa a bow around her waste or a crosage around her wrist. The guy just seems so much more detailed than the girl but i think this could even that out. Thay both look great just not as great together as seperatly.
Best regards
Peter
Thanks everyone for your comments.....I will be adding somethings to the girl for sure...necklace,earrings,corsage,and I will be working on her face and dress as well...I will lower the hips too....be looking for an update later tonight....

How about making her dress a little more glittery and giving her a fake diamond crown really prom queen style?
My only crit is the mouth, makes her look older. Maybe give her sexier lips?
Carl
Sexier lips....hmmm..could you be a little more descriptive...please...thanks for the comments......I will work on the dress....

Glossier and more red, more distinctive from the rest of the face material surface-wise. Well probably its not your style this way so I won't say silly things now :)
Also the images are a bit small. How about bigger ones so we can see a bit more of whats going on. I haven't seen a single wire from you yet, Remi. How about it?v:thumbsup:

The girl is starting to look really cool. A more shapely hourglass figure would look nice in my opinion. Something to exaggerate and separate the hips from the breasts. Cool style.
Little update...the dress is sparkly now and I'm still working on the girls face a little...not happy with the chin area....looks to masculine......Comments?

Hey Remi!
I aboslutely love your style.
What if you try tappering in the jaw a bit starting right below the cheek bones. I think it's look a little square at the moment causing the more masculine look you mentioned. I'm not 100% sure but i think your chin puckers back out a small bit.
Maybe try keeping it really smooth? These are just ideas, i'm just learning to model myself.
I also have a quick question for you,
What is your average poly count for your cowboy or teenager? I'm working on my very first toon model and i'd love to have an idea of how i'm doing =)
Great stuff, once again!

You mean either "anorexia" or "bolimia", dunno the names in english but if I am lucky, it'll be exactly the same. Anyway, I know what you mean, she looks a bit too skinny in places, probably hasn't got enough consistency for what her height suggests.

Hi Remi:)
Once again its nice to see your work kere. As always cute characters, clean...I like your style:thumbsup:
As for crits, yeah I have to agree with Xtrm there, she looks anorexic. Perhaps toning down her cheekbones would help. To make her more feminin it'll be achieved by making her chin to be pointed not squared. Give her fuller lips, and fuller tatas?;)
What do you think?
Awesome works on her dress and corsage:thumbsup:
Keep it up
Oh yea the dude needs to have a blush colour on his cheeks, he dates one of the hottest girl right?:applause:

The moment I read that a whole teen movie-ish scene came into my head! A whole story behind a small detail... its a great idea, Remi, go for it!
You could even try out a pose with him looking at her sideways, slightly embarassed rubbing the back oh his head with his hand as if he were saying "Whoa! How'd I manage this?". Maybe sounds a bit complicated to imagine... I'm just saying what came to my mind :)

Damn, can't attach to previous posts... anyways:
I can't really make it out too well from this perspective, but the date's face looks a bit like 1, maybe not so exagerately but maybe make it a bit more like 2?
What I mean, is that the bone that goes around the eye socket looks pretty obvious there, and that makes gives her the look xtrm3d mentioned.

Here's a wire of the girl.....render update.....coming in minutes... Sorry for the poor quaility
Update...I like her face now...I think i'm going to call her done and start making them move a little.....thanks for all the critiques...they helped emensley....

Thats great, remi! Although the shadows in the area their hands join together looks really chaotic as of now, but on the whole, its excellent! I really like these two characters!

one crit would be her hair on her forehead(what do you call it pony, or bang?) I'd reduce the numbers, make them bigger and cleaner. cant wait for her feet, will she be wearing adidas?

You're definitely the king of toons, these characters are really close to the funny clay puppets that people once animated with stop motion.
As a matter of fact yes she'll be wearing adidas....holy crap...I can't believe you put that....you'll crap when I post the image with her shoes....I'll fix the hair too...didn't much like it myself....
