This is just a quickie sketch that I whipped up in PS to get my idea for a location down. This will be at sunset or sunrise (probably the latter, since that would make more sense.) I will hopefully have a character sketch soon.

This is a preliminary concept for my main character, who will be standing at the crossroads.

Hm, looks promising. Is this going to be cartoony or more realistic?

I'm thinking of going for a warm, cartoony look.

What's going to be your story/idea? :)

as a crit for the sketches, you might want to use another brush, and the composition looks ok, but i think you need to cut off some air.

don't forget to make a concept in color/ values too! since it gives you a much better idea of the emotion, mood and center of interest in your piece.
