Heres my first (ugly) sketch about my idea. The idea is that the earth is flat. So people arrived at the end of the earth and are ready to depart in a samll boat to discover whats beyond.

Here is my new concept. I think I will go for this one. This is in a science fiction environment. A hitch hiker is waiting on the side of the highway. A lot of speedy flygin car pass. The only one who accept to take her is an alien riding a giant snail... Its going to be a long journey

here is the design of the hitch hiker

Here we go. At last I found a concept I like. This is in a medieval fantasy world. A female Dragon Warrior just bought coal reactor to put on the back of her dragon. Because she wants to go on the moon. She asks a crafteman dwarf to build the reactor for her. The scene is when the female warrior pay the dwarf. The dragon looks at her pissed off because of this weird idea to install on his back some reactors to go on the moon.

Beginning of the modelling of the woman head.
03-26-2006, 04:05 PM
Begin the modeling ,of the woman body. I will try to keep it quite simple as I am going to add details in Zbrush.
03-27-2006, 12:44 PM
I start modelling the woman armor. Still need to work on the woman body though. My idea is to give a mix of futuristic look and old look for the armor. So I am going to make her a big knight helmet to give the idea of a cosmonaut suit. I will add as well more realistic armor on the arms and probably add some chain mail.
03-28-2006, 12:59 AM
Here's her helmet. On the picture she won't wear it, but carry under her arm the same way as the biker do.

cool concept, the armour looking great! Will the face be shown the final piece?
hey... u've got a really good looking armor there.
I sure hope to see more from u.
check u out soon.

Almost finish the armor.
03-28-2006, 04:42 PM
Thanks kfc and Versiden.
Versiden nope she wont wear the helmet but carry it under her arm.

I just put her on a basic pose see how she looks like. I am quite happy with it so far.
03-29-2006, 02:28 AM
I just remodel a few stuff and add some fake hair. Just for test cause I wont keep this pose anyway. the hair was done very quicly (as you can see). This is just poly boxes, but I quite like it. I never done fake hair this way before..always spline hair. Perhaps I should give it a try. If I can give to my pic a bit of cartoony look that would be cool. And polygons hair help in this way I think. C and C welcome.

I quickly test the skin shader. Still need a lot of work. I havent done the bump either. The hair was quickly paint in photoshop to have a quick look on how she could look like at the end. C and C welcome.

Nice work on the modeling thus far. I dig the armor. You are right, the skin texture needs a little bit of work but there is time for all that!.
04-03-2006, 01:18 PM
I try to model a new head. I dont really like the one I made and cant really find an issue on how to improve it. So heres the new one. Perhaps I will make more test modelling head. I get inspired from the drawing I made.

I remodel the head of the woman and her body. I just started the texturing on my new model. I will make some modification on her armor as well later.

Hey Charles, like your original take on armor by making it so large (her boots and waist protector)...looking forward to seeing your second character completed. Good luck!
