Hello :D

GOOD LUCK FOR EVERYBODY

The history:

Once upon a time, the sylvan kingdom of Eversun knew only joy, peace and hapinnes. Both bow and sword, long forgotten, remained unused since the last wyrm, Koll'Baras the Crimson Fury, was slayed by the king champions.
But peace never last forever, and it came to be that Eversun was siegued by an anciente evil. The steel-fleshed demons of Yawgth, from the distant west, razed the woods of Eversun from the first to the very last tree. In their mad lust, the diabolical engines chopped down every tree in the realm to feed the ever hungry heart of their dark city, the Black Spires.
Thus, the homeless faeries knew fear, sadness and anger. With their hearts burning in rage, they sweared to avenger their people upon the still warm king's corpse.
The torned banner was raised from the Millenary Oak ruins, the former palace of the faerie king, and the long journey of revenge started for the Eversun mourners, following the path through their asolated land to reach the very heart of Yawgth dark kingdom.

Thanks Yeray! I've been studying the musculature and tensions that make a sad face and you've totally nailed them. Helps my thinking a lot.
The depressions over the eyes and the raised bulges in the center. The Crow's feet wrinkles. Even the compressions in the chin.
Is that refractions in the meniscus of the eyes? Wow!
Well done!

I think the boys face is full of expression and the eyes and the face looks very sad.
Nice mood.
I think some of the details in his face some bumpiness on the chin and the forehead that could use some smoothing. I know it is details made intentionally but maybe it should me merged into the general flow and shape of the face.
Nice process and concept.
Looking forward to see more.

I honestly didn't see them like that in the original concept but now that I go back and review it I see that you've captured the original style perfectly! Beautiful translucency on your feathers -- might want to mess them up a bit to create an organic look (by making their distances between one another vary) and by varying the length and look of the individual feathers themselves, but perhaps you are after a more stylized look. In any case I'm anxious to see the next post! Beautiful colors too. Really nice work! Good luck.

which you like it of the two beards?

hey yeray,

the latest beard test looks the best. Best suited for a king that is.
With the previous he looks meaner and much younger. Plus the
little hairs don't look to real. I've done some myself and it's a pain!
If you wan't to get those right, you could make them a little longer, Let them fall a little flat acros the skin and let them start in transparancy. If they start at 100% transparant, they look too hard.

Thanks yerab, i downloaded the file rendered in 1:07 , i guess it is me, I like to see the result in real time :banghead: but it must take its time to get the results, sometimes when trying to get an specific hairdo, i spend lots of time and get tired of rendering lapses, hope someday we could see the process inmediatly :bounce: nice work, and thanks for your time to explain, That was very kind, the vray setting will help me a lot

hiiii, a question... I have doubts and not you that to make.
Not you if to make the background in 3d or in mattepainting, in 3d: to make boxes and cylinders and texturizarlos and with an effect DOF sensation from a distance and with mattepainting: to make a plan 3d and to paint it... that I make? thank you for the comments
