Hi guys, Roberto here.

For a while I have been trying to get started a mini section in the forum
where sequential artists can publish their strips in a regular basis.
So this little tread in the News section, will be your oasis.

Why the news section? Well I wanted to make sure the sequential artists would get maximum exposure.

The idea is simple, post on this thread your comic, and following the guidelines below, periodically update the comic/strip by EDITING the posting (You update the comic by TAKING DOWN your old strip) . That way people who want to check out your latest comic, can come to ONE place.

Do you WANT see YOU COMIC here?

Click <<HERE>> (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=261148)to Check the RULES (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=261148)and send me a PM.

Do you want to talk about THE COMIC Pages concept?

Just post on this thread.

Hey CGtalkers,

First off, maaajor props to Roberto for getting this started.

Here's a little teaser for my project, Nevergreen.
No site as of yet, but updates will come.
It's in B&W, following manga tradition (and temporary restrictions)

My friend please ask away.
Theis thread will be a incubator for ideas.

The idea is for you to use this thread for your latest work.
You should have a thread in WIP/Critique: 2D, Illustrations and Concept Art (http://forums.cgsociety.org/forumdisplay.php?f=31) OR WIP/Critique: 3D Stills (http://forums.cgsociety.org/forumdisplay.php?f=43) with your archive pages / concept art etc.

All the CORE information of the comic goes on the orange titles:
for example:

TITLE: Nevergreen. (Title of comic)
LAST UPDATE: Mar 1, 2006 (Last ime you updated the entry on the thread)
Pages: 1 - 2 (The pages being shown)
WIP/Comments/ARCHIVE: - (Link to thread in WIP section for the comic/strip)
Official Site: - (Link to official site)

And entries can be in 2d/ 3d.

Here is a comic I worked on in my spare time over the past six months. It was done only for fun and isn't cleaned up or anything. But I thought I'd share it since it was completed. I one day might take the time to make something real of it though, something professional.

WIP/Comments/ARCHIVE: The Comic Strip: BREAK (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?p=3297305)
Official Site: http://break.complexdream.com (http://break.complexdream.com/)

This comic isn't quite normal fare for cgtalk. No elves, spaceships, or guns. It's a modern-day setting, all about social interactions. It's like an indie film.

I know my art is... well, to call it unrefined, or rough, would be an understatement. At this point, my whole goal is to actually get the story told, and then go back and pretty it up. As such, I'm not inking or coloring or photoshopping any of the pages, besides tiny paint fixes and word bubbles. Because of this, the comic will be a little ugly at times, but if you like the story, please read on. I'd love comments. I'm posting the first 8 pages here.

PLEASE NOTE:
THE COMIC CONTAINS SOME (NON-EXPLICIT) NUDITY, SEX, AND GENERAL ADULT SITUATIONS. YOU ARE FOREWARNED.
Mod Edit ( Like an R movie, or an American "Vertigo" comic book)

Here is the latest page. The story builds on itself a lot, so to read this is sort of stepping in the middle of a movie. I highly recommend that you start from the beginning -- and when you come to the end, stop!

I hope folks are enjoying reading the comics. Hard to tell because I'm getting very little feedback. Feedback encourages and artist to continue on with his work. No feedback and he's liable to move on to another project. So if you enjoy what you see, say so! :)
