View Full Version : Width and height in different units?
little5points 02-28-2006, 06:05 PM In earlier versions of Photoshop, you could set your width to inches and your height to picas. But I can't pick different units in CS2
Is this an option somewhere or did Adobe "fix" it?

What you need to do is set the unit first for your width or height, enter the value you need, select your other field then change to your other unit and enter its value in the other field. (Did that make sense???).
IE, Set your units to inches, enter say 1 in the width field.
Click or tab to your height field and change the units to picas. You will see your width field change to 6 (there are 6 picas per inch). Then enter your height value in picas.
You can also have different units with the transform tool. You just need to enter the value followed by the unit abbreviation in the width or height field. IE W: 20px H: 1in. (20 pixels x 1 Inch).

Thanks Whipyo, that's definitely a good workaround.
