Here's my first concept.
The boy on the bike will be facing the horizon, and the figure up front will be looking at the boy. With a sort of "don't go" expression :) Whatever that looks like.

Edit: That's not meant to be a steep cliff where the boy will fall to a certain death. (even though it looks like it) He's suposed to be standing on top of a hill...

I like the concept. A great journey under two wheels. Keep fun!

Don't think I'm gonna use this one...

I like the first concept better. I think this challenge is less about the character and more about world where the journey will take place.

This is my latest idea.

It's a guy leaving for a great journey, but the focus won't be on the road ahead, but on what he's leaving behind.

(The sketch is not great, it's more for me so that I don't forget :) )

Very nice. Great use of color.

I was thinking about doing a WWI one too, (is that what the no man's land looking one is?) but I decided against that one too.

Good Luck!

Thank you guys.

jamwae: Not necessarily WWI, but I was thinking of a war scene.
