Like the head greg.
Great anatomy and original design. But I'm not fond of the hair on a texture, shading way. I like the form but it will be difficult to make it not looks like plastic. But I know you will make it cool, just waiting to see more work.
He looks very young. Is it a choice ??

Good luck

Hey monks, looks like a really fun idea you've got. The concept looks full of life! I'll be keeping an eye on your thread as your idea has 1 or 2 similarities to mine. I'm interested is seeing how you're going to handle that horse made from junk :)

MichaelMotion & Stefan Stavrev > thanks men :)

authentic > i agree for the haire, the texture is just a test, i'll probably use a simple color...very hard to remove the "plastic effect" from this type of form...
And yes he's very young, as i say to Crin : he wants to be a knight but don't have a real horse, money and castle....just is imagination and his motivation.

sergioKomic & Pete2003 : thanks ! and yeah ! God save the saucepan helmet ! :scream:

Fine work greg, as usaul. I like the color you've made.I would have 2 little crit.
I don't understand what is the sort of aprt of the helmet at the top. I think it was better without.
I didn't see before, but maybe the neck of your character is a little too taper. You can compare his form to a A you know. Too thin at top or to large at bottom ?? I d'on't know really.

Heheh... Don Quichote on a tricycle:P Funny idea. It will be a long journey if he`s just starting his way from the doorstep, but a very short one if he`s just seeking for the nearest windmill:beer: I`d expect it look best when photorealistically textured, but it`s just a very late suggestion and my personal feeling... and the style I usually choose:) Looking fwd the final entry. It's the story of a young boy who wants to become a knight. He's poor, he has no castle and he don't know anything about knight's rules.
But there's a knight's tournament near his village, so he makes a crazy horse and curious weapons and he's going to win this tournament ! What a crazy journey !

Someone might be disappointed how "clean" is this image, but I have to say, that I love how it looks. It is almost like shot from real life... realistic yet cartoony. You have my compliments  One point might be your depth issue - colors looks pretty simillar from foreground to background. Little grey-blue mix on background hill/village will do it to me, but it is for sure only up to your feeling. Wish you good luck
