This is a very interesting and difficult challenge.
I think it is a true "challenge".......upon all between the artist and itself.
I feel this....as the first serious challenge Im involved.
Forget my poor english guys...and good luck to everyone.

Fabio Oscar Corica.

Nice idea,

I would remove the case...The robot needs nothing to leave.
the small bag in its hand is enough, I think.

good luck

TO Carlocki: Tnx 4 your comment.
Well..i love desert and abandoned stations...and i love the image you posted. The mood is similar but not the "meaning"....^_^ I hope the final image show it clear!
Anyway...im now pointing to use mental ray for the very first time about a complex image.
stay tuned....and...pray for me my friend! i MUST finish this challenge!

SO....let'name the main character of the scene.
It is a robot...and it is not very "huge" to see...it looks to be ordinary...well....ROBOT....rOBOt.....OBO.....his name is "OBO"
this is the Obo boby.

Now im on the model of the office bag of OBO.
I like to model this kind of thing...yes...there nothing originale to create..but...still i love to reproduce ordinary objects to put in a fantasy scene.

Is the bump texture for the skin's bags an hand made image map?

OZ
05-29-2006, 10:36 AM
To Carlocki :It is a mix between a photo map and an hand made one.

I use to take a photo and retouch it in 2d paints. This allow me to "control" the finale effect of a texture. I mean,if i want a more toony effect i use to add more hand made work on the texture. But in every case i use a photographic base just to have some kind of "natural effect" on colours.
