The easiest way would be to model only one half of the model, create an instance(so everything you do to one side would be done to the other), and then merge to two halves when you're done.
To make an instance, select the model(now only one half), go to Edit>Duplicate(with options, so choose the little box to the right of the word "duplicate"), and choose the check box for "instance" under geometry type. You'll want to enter a value of -1(by default they will all be a value of 1) in one of the scale boxes depending on which axis you want to mirror across.
Hope that helps!

Yes, you need to delete half of the model (by faces) then duplicate the half that remained on the scene and create an instance of it. Then after you finish to model select the two halfs and combine them, then merge the vertices situated at the border of the 2 halfs.
Tip: I usually use the Merge Vertices option box and and set a 0.001 distance between the vertices that I want to merge and I select the whole vertices of the body and apply the Merge Vertices operation ;). This will merge the vertices that are very very close or are "one on top of the other" (in your case the vertices at the border of the 2 halfs have the same coordonates, so it will work just fine). :)

The Connect Poly Shape script does the trick:

ok sorosh listen to me now . this is very easy to do
first select your model and go to duplicate option now you must change this attribute :
scale in first check box inter -1 and then go to geometry type and select instance and finish . now yoour model is compelet and if you chenge any thing in first model you see will chenge on secend model
try now dude :)
