heres my project... an anime version of Blossom from powerpuff girls... no normal maps here folks! just a plain and simple game model... around 2000 quads... guess I gave too much polys to the hands... I did this in Wings3D, I UV mapped and animated it in Maya. C&C's are welcome! I'll update soon. Thanks!!!

Not bad but make the shoes smaller they look way too big imho

you could save alot of polys for the hair if you keep it a plane with some subdivisions and a good alpha for the texture. For the eyes...you can probably just use textures without all that geometry

you seem to be having some "normal" problems with your model. if your using maya(which it looks like you are) head up to edit polygons-->Normals--> then try "set to face" , "conform", or "average normals", then re-apply your "soften/harden" and it should fix those black areas in the shading.
