View Full Version : Help needed Customizing UI
hi,
I'm customizing MAX interface with the most common tools I usually need. One of the things I usually do is activating the USE NURMS SUBDIVISION in the Editable Poly rollout. I've managed to put the NURMS toggle in my quads, but I cannot find the right command to increase or decrease the nurms iterations, just like the way I do from the rollout. I need to put these commands in my quads. Anyone knows the names?

I don't believe you can put those into quads (not 100%). I'm not sure why you would want to though.... seems odd.
VISUALBOO: Almost every command could be put into the quads...at least, I did not find any that couldn't until now ...I need to do this to hide everything else on the screen and concentrate on the model. I know it seems odd...but I'd like to!

I understand why you want to (mine is insanly custom) but what I don't understand is why the iterations. It's not like you need to be constantly adjusting those.

can u put a maxscript in a quadmenu? if so, then its possible. if not.... :annoyed:
VISUALBOO: I managed to put NURMS TOGGLE into a quad, but when it is activated, it starts from the ITERATION 0, that does not add definitio to the mesh. Off course, I could open the rollout and change the iteration...but I'd like to change it from the quad itself, you know, something like "ITERATION 1", "ITERATION 2" to see the mesh smoothed.
THE DAEMON: sure, you can put a maxScript into a quad
