Here is the initial town. The buildings are modeled after a house model placed in an Egyptian tomb around 2000 B.C.

Here I've gathered some refrence photos for the grasshoppers
I will be shortining the abdomen and wings of the grasshoppers (the Captain has no wings)

So I will be modeling 3 different types. I'm going to characterize them as little as possible trying to keep them in insect form with the exception of walking upright and an oppisite bend at the end of the hind part of their legs for walking.
I'm not sure what order I'm doing them in or when I will start the boat but the boats hull will be made of leaves and the ship over all will be made of gathered slightly honed parts.
