 Whitout words!! ... lol

05-20-2006, 06:35 PM
Cool looking modelisation !
In my opinion, the arms are a bit short. Hands should be near the middle of the upper leg...
Continue !

05-20-2006, 06:45 PM
wow dimi just look at this I can`t say anything except mybe I`am shocked lol

05-20-2006, 06:55 PM
In my opinion, the arms are a bit short. Hands should be near the middle of the upper leg...

I agree. And it also looks like the knees are a bit too low or you could make the lowerleg a bit longer, just a bit.

But great modelling my friend!

wait just a minute!

stop everything!

Who made those boots ??? :curious:

...errr...fixed leg and hands proportion i think...Thx guys...and added little something..lol...this is going to be nuts...

C&C are welcomed.

P.S ; By the way ..all the design stuff i am adding on her are inspired by a model Matt Clark (one of my favourite modelers) has done some time ago.

05-20-2006, 09:31 PM
Yahoo! She's coming along a treat and looks like you'll make it to include her! I really like the feather boa around her. Add a nice touch of softness to all the hard textures I've seen so far. I'm just glad I'm not wearing knickers like hers. Look damn uncomfortable. ;)

05-21-2006, 12:07 PM
"Lady Sofar" look great! Good luck for these last days man! Really want to see your piece finished.

05-21-2006, 01:41 PM
cool dimi keep going
faster faster faster

05-21-2006, 01:53 PM
Nice looking model!

Some unwanted crit:
The hands STILL look too small, more like a child's. Could be the camera angle though. The lowest part of the thigh's outer quad muscle seems to pertrude a bit too far. Only hunky bodybuilders have quads like that, doesn't fit in with the tone of your model.

Just my opinion, take it with a pinch of salt.

Make sure you finish this rocking picture.

05-21-2006, 09:15 PM
awesome model mate..love the scarf! you're a classic!

05-21-2006, 11:46 PM
Thanks friends...but i think ...Lady is out of compo...unfortunately...main reason for that is that i got hired yesterday to finish 2 tv spots in the next ten days ...lol...no more words..at least i have an alternative plan for the final image...will post tommorow sometime during the day my final image.
Who knows, maybe it's better this way...a bit "less is more " is what i hope.
Thanks for you kind words and crits . It's been fun....

05-21-2006, 11:58 PM
Shame you can't finish her, but congratulations on the job! Better to be working. ;) Smart planning there too.

05-22-2006, 12:08 AM
Wow congrats on the jobs! I don't think she is necessary you have enough great character to make a great scene!

05-22-2006, 12:13 AM
Thanks friends...i surely hope u like the alternative final..working on that right now...

It's one pass render...that's the scary part...again..lol. I hope u like it.....

05-22-2006, 12:31 AM
I'm also going to be doing a 1 pass render. I'm sure your render is going to be great. Your modeling is really amazing.

05-22-2006, 04:28 AM
Congrats for the job but sorry to hear that u are not going to use the lady but happy to hear

The Journey Begins _

It's time, you owe money to every pittyfull bartender in this old port. Everybody wants to hurt you..you are a low-life gambler with no more future here and very few money.
Your only hope is the Big city, only problem is you don't have a pass. So you pay a low-life trio, you may be able to call them sailors, to get you across.
This is your only hope...unless..unless they kill you half way there and take your last money and throw you body to the river.
Look, the boat is coming, the Journay begins.

P.S ; Thanks everybody for your comments , encouragement and crits. Hope we gather again in a new challenge.
Be weel.

In the same time, a picture strong and quiet... strange mood of course, but very interesting... good style originality, we must imagine much while seeing it... perfect...
It's really beautiful... and you finish it very quickly, a reason more to congratulate you my friend...

...I'm waiting the high-res version to profit more of your masterpiece... good luck with the final step Dimi

05-22-2006, 01:24 PM
well done... this picture is Nyark!... :bounce:

05-22-2006, 01:31 PM
Beautiful work, Dimi - congrats!

I don't think it's so bad that the lady didn't get in there, the dwarf and creature are so cool characters that they will work well by themselves. Good luck with the judging and the new job

EDIT: I forgot to say - this one turned out really OUMZZAAA! :D

05-22-2006, 01:50 PM

@ Gunilla __ Thanks Lady , good luck to to you too. About Lady in my image...ohhh...i just wanted to be in there....and i agree..it's ok like this..it's just telling a bit different story of what i had initially in mind. Oh well...it was fun.

@ alvin_cgi __ Thanks man...don't make blush...i have to make ...a cell phone now ...:scream:...i have a cultural attack hitting my brain...lol. Thank u for the kind words.

05-22-2006, 02:43 PM
WOW! And what a treat in Hires!

Besides the overall there's at least three killer crops that tell wonderful stories all by themselves.
You're on a roll, man. Hope all keeps going strong for you.

05-22-2006, 02:55 PM
Thanks for my new wallpaper buddy

05-22-2006, 03:24 PM
nice image dimi! feel like I standing in the bay of hongkong in the future! good luck and see you man!

05-22-2006, 03:27 PM
Dim, congratulations for my new wallpaper hehehe, itīs a joke, great final image, for me need some tweakings in the final image to a perfect integration of the dino and dwarf with the environment, but anyway a great image

All the best

05-22-2006, 03:33 PM
Now, you are sooooo fast ( and I am not a girl, so it is not that bad from my point of view, ha ha ha )... Man, I was afraiding that I am going for too darkness with my image... Now, this is the mood... Very strange and poetic on the same way. Lady? O.K. That is all right... she is probably swimming somewhere around the boat, or bridge, or neer the horizon... GOOD JOB DIMI! Wish you good luck with jury and everything. See you...

05-22-2006, 04:48 PM
congrats dimi cool pic dude

05-22-2006, 08:27 PM

05-22-2006, 08:31 PM
oooooouuummzaaaaaaa U nut !! :bounce:

Really outstanding piece once again ... arf ... really awesome ...
About the lady missing ... I would say that the picture is great without and to be honest , I don't think she would add that much in the comp ... ... maybe ... why not ... perhaps ... (wow that's the most non~macho comment I made for like years) :scream: ...

Huge congratulations Dimi ! :applause: ... best of luck ...

cheers ,

ps : do you know that I hate ya my friend ? :scream: ....

05-22-2006, 08:31 PM
Really cool image and mood! I like the story too. I don't like the one sailers pose that has both arms up in a modeling pose.

05-22-2006, 09:45 PM
Nice-Looking man..... really u ve created a feel....

But I m still waiting......

05-22-2006, 10:23 PM

05-24-2006, 12:05 AM
WooWoWeeee.... .

Great work man, i like the close creature it has great details, what a peice Dimi your work and Idea are awsome, BTW do you mean that the far man on the edge is poor and witing for the boat to carry him to the other side and the close creatures are trying to catch him, great stuff mate, pleasure to write here and pleasure to see you visiting my thread. .

05-24-2006, 05:32 AM
Excellent , congratulations for final

05-24-2006, 07:05 AM
still can't get the Villiage People out of my head :D nice on though Dimi...now head off to the onion box if you are finished here ;)

05-24-2006, 10:08 AM
Great image Dimi. I am so afraid of dark images because of difference in monitor calibrations, but your one looks great out here. ;)

05-24-2006, 10:27 AM
Congrats Dimi!! :applause:

I'm curious where you were planning to put the lady.

05-24-2006, 10:47 AM
What i like most about your entry is the way it invites the viewer into the image. Feels like i'm about to enter the boat with three thugs. Which makes it all the more immersive. Well done :)

05-25-2006, 09:04 PM
Insane detail on the environment and characters. I agree that this is one of the most immersive environments of the challenge. Yet one more great work to envy :applause: :bounce: :banghead:

05-25-2006, 11:09 PM
Thanks friends...happy u like it.

I wish i had more free time to dedicate to this......but instead i had to make cell phone the last 2 days for a tv spot... :) . But i think it has the feeling i was aiming for..so i uess iam happy with it...until i hate it....lol

@ Art2 ...lady was going to be in front of Dwarf and dino...but i think now that i see it without her...well it has that inviting feeling azazel describes, thx man :)

@ all Cgtalkers/ fellow challengers and not...thx for comments and visiting....hope we have fun again...and good luck to everybody with results. :)

@ Piggy ....i would come to Onion Box..only i lost again the bookmark...but do not fear..we will talk this weekend.
