Lovely updates! This is coming together as a true Monsit-image, really nice curves in composition. Are you using ZBrush for the bees? They have really nice details.
Hurry up now, not much time left :bounce:

That's a really fantastic tree! How are you creating the tiny little tendrills that are on it? I use zbrush took, although I'm not very good with it.

monsitj
05-21-2006, 07:11 AM
Womball : thanks for comments man! about the tendril , I prepare the mesh low res from wing , I use bridge polygon tools for join the selected poly together to form a tendril and then send to zbrush to add more detail ,

This is a fantastic looking image on its own, drawing the viewer in. I love it.

May get points deducted for not sticking to brief, i.e., it doesn't have the aerial perspective that the organisers seem to emphasize so much on.

Impressve as often monsijt. The hair of the girl are incredible. really beautiful. My only crits would concern 2 things. One is the lisibilty of the bees. Their wings are readable but their body a little confused. But I think the type of bg you'll add will change the impression.
The 2nd thing would be the aim of the picture within the challenge. Will everybody understand the concept relative to the matter of the challenge. I'm not sure even it's clear for me.

Very beautiful picture. Good luck for finishing.

nice, i like your characters and I find the scene having a nice dynamic style
my only suggestion is to put something in backgound, not to be very distinctiv but some color [dark color] shold be fine, but maybe you intend to do so already :)
good luck further, time is our enemy now :)

monsitj,

Brilliant scene. I'm flooded with envy and bow before your greatness. :buttrock:

Surely you intend a matte painting to fill the black void. Also, other than the obvious of increasing the contrast and saturation of the Queen's flesh a bit, I can't find anything that needs to much work. But, you're the magic man. You'll undoubtly add something extra amazing.

Excitied to see the finish. :applause:

vincent1 : thanks for comments ! about the perspective , I will work in the background to improve the detph of image , but don't know what will come out
authentic : Hi ! man! very glad for recieve comment from you ! I agree with you about the story of the image , but I think the relationship and action of the bee that try to wake the queen up from sleep is the starting point of the journey :wise:
-WOODY- : thanks woody! glad you like it !
fgdf : thanks ! but background maybe not too complex because now my scene look a bit busy heheh!
MDN67 : Hi! bros, glad you visited my thread and thanks for support!

Congratulations Monsit! You've worked really hard on this in such a short period of time especially toward the end -- really excellent piece! Really like the sunlight streaks.

awesome man, I like your image a lot. It's the kind of theme interpretation I like for this contest.

As a crit, I think there is too much black space on top. Maybe some more variation (blurred of course) would help.

anyways one of my favourites :)

Awsome painterly effect, monsitj! It looks fantastic. I think you caught a dreamy, just awoken look in her face. Your colors are amazing. I'm anxious to see the background, too. You've done an amazing bit of work in a short time.

And thanks for your comment. When I'm ready, I will join you in a challenge. Right now I can't model my way out of a cube. ;)
