Thank you very much Kurtis.

very I am surprised by the changes of lightwave and believe that it
will be the best version of the program until today.

Great tool - stupid name. It does as much splitting as connecting. It should be called the Connect-o-split. Or the Splitconnectisizer.

Possibly.

The connect-tool in MAX is exactly the same, thus I think the name comes from there... Useful tool, but nothing special. There has been multiple ways to do stuff like that already, bandsaw, add edges, quickcut etc. Nice to have it still.

indeed

it would be cool to see if there is selections like in modo so that we can grow selection horizontal and vertical with keyb. arrows and to define if we select every 2nd polygon and grow selection so that it select every other polygon.

Not sure what it is like in Modo, but what about this: select a poly, select another poly some polys away, even diagonally, scroll the mousewheel and it will expand the selection based on the spacing and direction between the two polygons selected. Click the scrollwheel/middle mouse button to make a complete ring/loop selection.

If only 1 poly is selected and the scroll wheel is used, a radial type selection will occur. Should/could be the same for point and edge selection.

Also pressing down an "alt" key (not necessarily alt, but perhaps shift or ctrl), could make the expansion get an automatic falloff value. If you have a "ring" selection with a radius of 10 polygons, the inner poly would have 100% weight and the 10th/outer polys 10% (if falloff is linear).

I'll stop now, so I dont turn this thread into a feature request one :)

I've been seriously needing a tool that allows me to not have to select bandsaw. :buttrock:

Mike

Just kidding...I realize it's a little more than bandsaw.
